A quick trip across the bay.

Sun at last!

We had another lazy morning, and then at lunch the sun came out along with most of the holidaymakers at the caravan site. Firstly though, we had to repair Connors small paddle. He decided to use it to dig with yesterday and broke off one of the blades. With a trip to mathias Hardware in St Davids, we repaired it using a wooden shaft from a beach spade, some Araldite glue and a couple of stainless screws! Sorted.

Leaving a beach that was getting busy, we were glad not to be looking for a space on the crowded Whitesands.

The namless cave at Porth Leuog is always worth a visit, but today there wasn't enough water to go in.

Me! In the new Kayak.

Landing at Porth Melgan, it was pretty busy here also. I like it over here, often deserted, its a lovely beach, and a good place for some contemplation.

Leaving is dependant on the surf, at certain times in the tide, it really dumps here and with a big swell it can be fun getting out.

I wanted to see how my new boat looked on the water, so gave dad the camera.

After loosing some of the gear from my hatches it seems to sit Ok in the water. Just got to work on my weight now. Lol.

This cave (Ogof Cwm) is just around the corner from Porthsele beach, it went back quite a way today, and it had me thinking... Maybe I can get Connor around next time the sea is flat calm.

As we came out of the cave the St Davids Lifeboat was out, Can't find out a reason, but I just looked at the Lifeboat website and its been busy!

Landing back at the beach it wasn't as busy, but it was tea time.
Another little paddle, but with fairly big tides at the beggining of this week we decided to leave the bigger trips until the weekend when it is on Neaps

About 3.5miles
